Cupcakes are delightful treats that leave us feeling satisfied--at least for a short time. Pilates is whole body movement for every day that is based on the principles of breathing, control, concentration, centering, precision and flow.
I got creative and brought the two together to create Cupcake Pilates because I want to always make life sweeter. The approach is to practice Pilates every day and use the guiding principles elsewhere in life to have a "daily cupcake"--aka, life tip, that brings lasting satisfaction. Just a nibble of the “daily cupcake” will give you a thoughtful quote to encourage reflection. A few bites of the “daily cupcake” will give you a 5-10 minute exercise for shaping your day, while every last bite of the “daily cupcake” will take about an hour but will impact your every day.

A few bites: Take a few minutes to jot down some ideas about what you enjoyed doing as a child.
Every last bit: Make an appointment in your calendar to spend an hour doing something you enjoyed as a child like clay modeling, reading a book of children’s stories or swinging at the playground.
Cupcake Pilates was founded by me, Lacy Fabian, PhD. I am trained in psychology, with a focus on the effects of stress on health. This is my space to share what I learn about living and practicing Pilates.
I've been practicing Pilates for nearly two decades and received my Pilates Mat Certification through Balanced Body in 2012, which is accredited through the Pilates Method Alliance, in Costa Rica at Pilates Nosara.
