Daily Cupcake #405: Dessert
I have a sweet tooth. I would indulge it all the time if I could do so and stay healthy.
It's part of the reason I started Cupcake Pilates. There are more ways to indulge than food.
I saw a sign the other day that said, "You are not a dog, so don't reward yourself with food."
Rewards and treats are best when they have no ill effects on your health or emotional state.
When food is the preferred reward eat with care, so there is no guilt, only enjoyment.
Which leads me to this #Dailycupcake about Dessert that follows the Pilates principle of "breathing". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:
Just a nibble- “Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.” Ernestine Ulmer
A few bites– Do you know your optimal balance with desserts? Is it none at all? Ever? Only sometimes? When? How much?
Every last bite– Keep a food journal to track how you feel with more or fewer desserts and then have dessert first at the optimal time for you.
