Daily Cupcake #418: Tumbling
When is the last time you tumbled? Literally and figuratively?
I don't regularly take either kind of tumble, which is consistent with my not being a risk-taker.
When I do tumble it feels like being alive.
It feels hard and fun and a little scary all at once. Right after it is over, I remember that it isn't so bad.
Which leads me to this #Dailycupcake about Tumbling that follows the Pilates principle of "precision". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:
Just a nibble- “Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little coarse, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
A few bites– Identify what situations make you uncomfortable.
Every last bite– Practice until handling the situations feels less uncomfortable.
