Daily Cupcake #77: Being Nice
I try to be nice. Some days it is hard because I have other things happening in my life like being a new mom that deplete my reserves, but in the end that's not a good excuse. There isn't a good excuse for not being nice.
Being nice is good for the other person and you.
Being nice means your body is less likely to be pushing stress hormones through your system. That's a good thing, especially when you might be stressed enough dealing with other aspects of life.
Which leads me to this #DailyCupcake about Being Nice that follows the Pilates principle of "centering". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:
Jut a nibble: "Better to be the one who smiled than the one who didn't smile back." Sweaty Wisdom
A few bites: Be conscious in all of your interactions this weekend
Every last bite: Reconnect with an old friend or reach out and try to make a new one--like maybe that neighbor across the street you've been meaning to introduce yourself to for last four months
