Daily Cupcake #16: Wealth
Healthy looks different for everyone. For me I feel healthiest when I am well hydrated, eat a variety of foods (especially fruits and veggies), get sweaty at some point in the day, and feel limber (thank you Pilates!).
If I miss one of those aspects I feel out of sync with my body.
I also find that if I can accomplish each one of those in a day that I'm more capable of coping with any curve balls, like less sleep or stressful projects at work.
Accomplishing each one of those takes some planning and intention setting on my part.
I set schedule time for myself. I make sure the fridge stays stocked. I shift other tasks that may be less critical.
Taking care of myself like this always feels worthy of the effort and time.
Which leads me to this #DailyCupcake about Wealth that follows the Pilates principle of "breathing". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:
Just a nibble: “The first wealth is health.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
A few bites: List out what daily activities make you feel your healthiest.
Every last bite: Make sure you accomplish at least 80% of those things for at least a week then fine tune and tweak until you've got a go to arsenal for feeling healthy.
