Daily Cupcake #19: Beginning
The last few months I feel like I've really stepped out of life with an infant and into life with a toddler.
The days generally feel more manageable. There are more glimpses of the days to come as a family--one where all members are engaged and contributing.
More mental and physical energy can be directed to self-care, which is critical for engaging and contributing.
The self-care is a return to healthy cooking (now with an eager learner), lots of physical activity outside (now with someone who has a lot of energy to burn) and living life well (now with someone to share in the experiences).
I've done it simply. I keep a running list and pull from it each night to build the tomorrow I crave.
Which leads me to this #DailyCupcake about Beginning that follows the Pilates principle of "concentration". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:
Just a nibble: “Start where I am in order to get where I want to be.” Amanda Fletcher, Chakra Pilates, San Diego
A few bites: Make a list of 100 +/- things you want to do with your life.
Every last bite: Take a look at your time and what you are doing each day to get closer to your 100 things.
