Daily Cupcake #56: Authenticity
Today I chose to live a stronger side of myself.
I'm the kind of person who can go to a restaurant for dinner by myself or take my then 11 month old on an eight hour train ride. But I'm also the kind of person who gets a little anxious about new places. Going to a new place where I don't know the norms hypes me up just enough that I have to actively choose to not let it stop me.
Even though they are a bit at odds, each of these qualities is me.
And when I'm out in the world biking a new neighborhood, my toddler riding along, while I'm feeling a little anxious double checking my route, I also feel like my authentic self.
I feel totally alive.
Which leads me to this #DailyCupcake about Authenticity that follows the Pilates principle of "precision". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:

A few bites: Think about your wardrobe and what your personal style is...donate five items that don’t fit with that style.
Every last bite: Select only what you love from your wardrobe and pack the rest away for a month before donating.
