Daily Cupcake #61: Achieving
I know all the things like drink water, sleep, move my body and eat well. The trick I've found is identifying the best combination of those things to leave me feeling my best.
Having a healthy lifestyle takes energy all on its own.
It is energy that has to be diverted from other things, which is usually the rub when other parts of life get out of hand.
Lately, though I've been practicing calming those thoughts of overwhelm in other areas to keep my energy levels up, so I don't feel spent and make brownies for dinner.
There are ebbs and flows in life activities and being present in those moments is key.
Which leads me to this #DailyCupcake about Achieving that follows the Pilates principle of "flow". Depending on what you need in your day you can take:
Just a nibble: “To achieve the highest accomplish- ments within the scope of our capabilities in all walks of life, we must constantly strive to acquire strong, healthy bodies and develop our minds to the limit of our ability.” Joseph H. Pilates
A few bites: Body and mind are connected; let yourself sleep tonight as much as you need.
Every last bite: Create a consistent sleep routine by sleeping and waking at the same time.
