How often do you tell yourself that you are going to revamp your fitness and eating habits? I’m regularly looking to try out new approaches to keep healthy living embedded in my daily life. It is an ever changing process as my life changes—I need different fitness habits now than I did when I was in college. It was a profound realization when I understood that I’d always be making adjustments and tweaks to my healthy living habits because they are a fundamental part of my life.
If you think about it, what life habits never change? We don’t give it much thought when our work schedule needs to change to accommodate a new client, so why would we expect to someday stop thinking about our health habits. I found this really freeing.
Now I embrace testing out new Pilates routines or recipes because I don't see it as a failure to find what works but a process of listening to what my body needs.
