It's a curious phenomenon that once we actually start something it becomes easier to keep going. Why is the getting started so challenging? Do we think we'll run out of energy or that we'll feel bad about it? Chances are we will end up with more energy and happier about our lives in general. Moving ourselves to take action seems to take the most work for new things, then once they become habit getting ourselves to start becomes less challenging. Instead of focusing our efforts on getting started, we may have more success focusing on making the situation comfortable and habit like.
What can we control that can be added to the situation to make it more welcoming? Maybe it's music, confidence boosting attire, a companion, quiet meditation, less clutter, fresh cut flowers, etc. Take this week to pick something you need to get moving on, and aim to make it more comfortable to get started.
