The feeling of Summer is upon me. The days feel endless, and I become nostalgic about the youthful Summers--lots of lounging with friends, jobs, new freedoms. It's difficult to maintain hold of that once the responsibilities of being an adult take hold--house chores, groceries, paying bills. It's important to avoid the pitfall of falling into the monotony of those responsibilities though. This is still your Summer. It is yours to cherish. Do you have vacation days on reserve? It is alright to use one (or even two) to spend the day lounging with friends or in that hammock in your yard with that book still unfinished. Exercise the benefits of being an adult and reclaim a little bit of your Summer because those long days don't last forever.
