It has been hectic with a lot to juggle lately because I'm in the process of moving. Moving is happily considered one of life's positive stressors among the ranks of getting married or graduating. Going through a big life stressor, hopefully a positive one, but the negative are part of life too, is a great time to reassess what routines are working in your life and which may need some work. In order to keep daily fitness a priority in your life the other daily routines need to function well too. For example, if you'd like to get your Pilates fix in the morning you'll need to make sure the morning runs smoothly. The morning can't involve delays over what to eat for breakfast, what to wear or searching for a lost school supply.I'm using the upcoming move to plan out the flow of my kitchen so snacks for lunches and the cereal and bowls are extra handy. I'll be culling my wardrobe to keep aspiring to just having clothes I love to wear.
Those little routine adjustments save time, which starts to add up. Sure I spend some time making the adjustments to my routine, but I do that when I have the T.V. on in the background or am driving. Polished routines free me up to focus on my priorities like practicing Pilates every day. Do you use big life events to take stock of what's working? Have any tips for a smooth morning routine?
